TargetNational, Online β Cons corruption education socialization activities for 400 principals of elementary and middle schools in Makassar City, which was held by the city education office in the south Sulawesi BBPMP Hall on Tuesday (12/08/2025).
This activity was held as part of an effort to build an educational ecosystem with integrity and free from corrupt behavior.
Present as a guest speaker, Head of the Makassar District Prosecutorβs Office, Nauli Rahim Siregar, who explained the steps to prevent corruption in schools.
In his remarks, Makassar Mayor Munafri Arifuddin gave a stern warning to all school principals not to take advantage of positions for personal gain.
βDonβt mess in the education area. Schools, especially elementary and junior high schools, not business places,β said Munafri.
βThe Head of the Education Office is often reported about the procurement of books, uniform purchases, or admissions of new students that are not in accordance with procedures. This is all efforts to legalize business in schools. Are we proud of this? No,β added Munafri.
Munafri reminded that the headmasterβs position was a noble mandate and should not be damaged for small profits. Donβt make a despicable position just because of a million or two million.
