The coloring contest is to develop childrenβs creativity and imagination, as well as training fine motor skills and eye and hand coordination. Increase art and sensitivity to color. Familiarize children with healthy competition and building self -confidence. Also introduces children to certain themes

Assessment criteria include color composition, neatness, creativity, suitability to themes, and mastery of coloring techniques.
The jury consisting of teachers who have expertise in the arts are involved to assess the work of participants ahead of the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.
