Free uniform for elementary and junior high school students, at SMP Negeri 3 on Monday (07/21/2025)
In his remarks the Mayor of Makassar, said that uniform assistance was part of an effort to reduce the burden of education costs for parents and increase student learning enthusiasm.
“We want Makassar children to go to school with the same confidence, regardless of economic background”.
This free uniform program targets all elementary/junior high school students in the Makassar City area, and will be carried out in stages starting in the new school year 2026/2027. In addition to the distribution of uniforms, this activity also involves a dialogue between the local government and the school about the more equitable and fair educational needs.
Also present at the event were the Chairman of the Makassar City PKK Mobilization, Principal of Elementary/Middle Schools, Head of Education, Dandim, Police Chief, and Parents of Students.
