Development of motivation and character are two important aspects in the formation of whole individuals. The development of motivation is related to fostering internal and external impulses to achieve goals, while character development focuses on the formation of moral values and good personality.
Motivation is an encouragement that makes a person act to achieve certain goals. This can be an encouragement from within (intrinsic) such as the desire to learn or encouragement from outside (extrinsic) such as rewards or praise.
Strong motivation can increase one’s enthusiasm, perseverance, and achievement in various fields, including learning, work, and social interaction.
Someone who is motivated to learn because he wants to understand a concept (intrinsic motivation) will be more diligent and have better learning outcomes than people who only learn because they want to get good grades (extrinsic motivation).
Character development is the process of forming moral values and good personality in a person.
Strong characters help individuals to make the right decisions, interact positively with others, and become responsible citizens.
Forming honest, disciplined, responsible, and tolerant characters will help individuals in personal, social, and professional lives.
Motivation can be an encouragement to develop character. For example, motivation to excel can encourage someone to develop disciplined and hard -working characters.
A good character can increase motivation. For example, honest and responsible characters will increase self -confidence and motivation for achievement.
